GET ON THE BUS...

You’re Going To College! This is DMV’s seminal program initiative for high school seniors, especially student-athletes.  It is designed to create a gateway to college application and acceptance to a Historically Black College or University (HBCU).

DMV LEGEND AWARD! This initiative recognizes outstanding men and women who have used athletics as a springboard in their lives, while devoting significant time and contributions to youth in the DMV community. Five nominees are inducted each year and presented LEGEND AWARDS at our annual dinner dance fundraiser.  Previous honorees include three former mayors; HOF coaches; an Olympic athlete; sports journalists and many others who have made “giving back” to youth a priority in their lives.

DMV-AIA enjoys a presence

in the Washington, D.C. Metro Area through on-going and evolving programs
